Trillium Fitness started from both a need and demand for a higher standard of personal training. In our physiotherapy practices, we treat a number of patients with varying injuries.  Among these patients, a good portion incurs injuries as a result of their gym training, either working out independently or with a personal trainer. 

An obvious concern is the increased rate of training related injuries as well as the training methods these clients and/or their trainers employ that lead to this occurrence.

In addition to seeing an increase in training related injuries, we continually hear about the struggles our patients endure with achieving higher levels of health and fitness. Our patients often report that they experience great challenges in becoming fitter and healthier.  We hear about struggles with losing weight, gaining lean muscle, recovering from injury and generally feeling healthier and having more energy each day. 

When we rehabilitate a patient from injury, our priority is to understand how to make them functionally stronger, safely.  As therapists, we need to understand how muscles move and function and to select and incorporate appropriate exercises into a plan that will lead to resolution of the injury in the shortest period possible.  In our practice, we work with our patients to set mutual goals that are realistic and attainable and we record and measure our work to be as objective as possible.  In the end, this approach gives the fastest results.

Trillium Fitness takes a similar approach for our clients.  We started this service to take the professionalism, objectivity and structure from our work as health care professionals and incorporate this into personal training.  At Trillium Fitness, our approach is to eliminate get-fit-quick schemes, shortcuts, and poorly delivered and prescribed exercise and/or nutrition programs to create a structured, organized approach to helping our clients achieve their goals in the shortest time.

We feel incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to work with so many individuals that entrust us with improving their health and fitness.  We have already witnessed the success of our approach as our clients continue to exceed their expectations and achieve the physiques they have always desired. Trillium Fitness will continue to create it’s own standard for personal training in and work to challenge and inspire our clients through our own passion for health and fitness.
